 yoga and chocolate...

Just tried yoga two weeks ago...(Denise Austin's Fat burning yoga video) and can't tell if results are from diet, yoga or curves, but something is happening. Am down to a size twelve from an eighteen! Have had a rough week, been into those big choclate bars (the fundraising ones for Childfind at work) and anything else that stops moving with a fork in it! Anyway, here's to getting back on track...
thanks for listening to me ramble....

Oh, I guess you meant the chocolate as a bad thing. ;-)

I started learning yoga a few weeks ago, and although I'm still a rank beginner, I really like it. It looks easy, but I have to struggle to hold the poses, and you realize what strength is involved.

I read somewhere that yoga promotes the long, lean muscles building similar to pilates, which is why you would see a difference in your size so quickly. Keep going, you're doing well. Oh, and throw the chocolate in the freezer and forget about it !

I borrowed Bryan Kest Power Yoga tapes 2 and 3 from the library and boy they were great yet very challenging. I purchased a Yoga Zone video and was very disappointed and figured I would from now on borrow from the library before shelling out the money. The thing about this video is that the next day your upper back and abs are sore which I was amazed. The overall workout was invigorating but I will admit there were 2-3 poses I could stay in or had difficulty achieving.

thanks for the support guys - right back at 'ya! I find it very hard to hold the poses, but I don't get sore. I can't believe that after 30 minutes of yoga, I need a shower even though there is no impact! I am going to pick up a Pilates tape this week too and see how that goes....I'll post after I try it.
