Well, it has been a week since I've been FAITHFULLY doing Pilates. 1 hr M-W-F and 20 min T-Th-S, and was hoping to continue doing so, but today I found myself thinking, "oh man I so don't want to do this, I'd rather watch TV" etc. etc. This would be where I usually gave up on my "life change/diet" and stop working out and eat wrong. But, I forced myself into working out and after a while started getting into it again, but how do I make myself not dread working out? I mean, sure I'll manage to force myself for a couple of days, but then I will surely give up! So does anyone have any ideas to change this? I was thinking, do another tape this week, and change back and forth, but I'm not sure. ANY IDEAS? PLEASE!

Do you have a significant other? How old are you? I need this info before I give this advice.

well, look at your goal. You are sooooo close. You can do it for the rest that you have left. Try going walking or jogging to change it up a bit. I like to go bike-riding to the beach. I don't know if you have this option, but I really enjoy it. I hope you keep at it because you are soo close to your goal. Good luck.

I'll tell you what works for me is that I have several different things that I can do for exercise. I walk, do workout videos, lift weights, the stairmaster or just dance for an hour. When I do the same thing day after day, I get bored and it's harder to be motivated. Find other things that you love to do and rotate them. Good luck!!

The best advise I can give you is that the Pilates is boring but the benefits outway that. Have you ever taken dance, well Pilates is a form of dance and no matter what shapre your body is in now Pilates will make your muscles longer for a sleeker look. And trust me you will want that flexibilty when you get older. I am 31 and have arthritis already and if it weren't for Pilates I wouldn't be able to walk some days. I also improved my posture and actually grew an inch. I hope that motivates you.

You must think of exercising just like bathing, or brushing your teeth. It is something that should be done regularly.
The body is made with muscles that must be flexed.
Check exercise videos out from the library. There is usually a good variety, and if not, request them. The library has a budget every year to restock.
You can do it...for life! :-D
