hey guys whats going on? ok so im 17 5'4 and about 137or so, i look average and have muscular legs, but im just not satisfied, i work out like 3 to 4 times a week now and do a lot of cardiovascular work on my body, im happy im finally working out and ive been doing it for 3 weeks now, the depressing part is that im not loosing NE weight. what makes things worse. i think im gaining. i dont know what my problem is.. wether its muscle or not i dont want to gain weight i want to lose 10 lbs. i was doing better when i hardly ate ne thing then eating regular but healthy and working out :-( i just dont know what to do but its reelie making me sad :-( any advice? my friend tried that hollywood diet she said it worked but that u just have to keep it off. maybe i just need another boost b/c ive been loosing weight for a while now and im pleateauing and i though this working out would boost me again but its not.. even when i increase the workout. please someone help me.

Just a few words of advice- keep up the proper nutrition and the exercise. You've only been at this for only a few weeks and you can't get frustrated yet. Remember muscle weighs more than fat but in turn more muscle mass will burn greater amounts of fat. Keep things up and in time I'm sure you'll start seeing pounds coming off. . Mike

hey mike thanx for the advice. i have been keepin it up or tryin to , i hope the lbs start shedin b/c this pleteau thing really is killing me

i know you aren't going to like my answer.. but............... im 43.. been there.. done that.. and the key.. here.. is bieng happy.and accepting yourself............ i was you.... once before i gained.. massive quantities.. of weight.. from neglect and ignorance.. i could never seem to get that perfect feeling... and it made me profoundly unhappy....
it was the not being perfect that allowed me to slide into an abyss of unhealthy habits.. nothing worked.. so i slowly lost interest in controlling my health..... over the YEARS... and we are talking about years... you may not get to lose weight while you are healthy... maybe...... you have the body type that doesn't allow weight loss.. ............ you can torture yourself with diets.. and fads.. or... live a healthy life..... i guarantee you one thing..... when you are 43.. and you have exercised.. and eaten healthy... you will feel great.. and look great.. and all your friends.. with those now skinny little deprived bodies.. will be looking at you in envy....
develope.. a standard of health.. and accept what your body does with what you give it..... read .... and learn about healthy ways of living.. ... and stop listening to the culture and profit talers who push unhealthy ways of losing..... water weight..
sorry for the soap box.... .. but.. that's the nature of this medium... lots of people.. saying ... a lot...
