that whenever you are bored the first thing you think about it FOOD!!!! I mean,,why not think about something else like a hobby or reading,,or going for a walk but NOOOOOOOOO.. it's always FOOD...well at least it is for me..What is it about food that is soooooo inviting??I know it tastes good but it only lasts for a few minutes.. It's like I'm hypmotised to eat when I'm bored or it's a magnet.. I just want to find something else that is more inviting than food but can never seem to figure out what that is..

My son is at his friend's house and my daughter is playing out back with her friends. My husband is at work. My house is pretty much clean and dinner is already made. WHAT DO I DO? There's nothing to do, but watch TV and eat!!
OMG - I have to find something to clean! A closet - ANYTHING!!

I think the food is a comfort to us. It has been our friend during rough times so when you are bored you naturally look for that friend to take the place of your boredom. Food is the friend from He*l...........LOL

How about gardening? I have lots of flower beds and when I board, I go plant shopping. Lot's of times I can find viable stuff at Lowes for 25 cents, then I come home and plant. I also container garden. I have plants everywhere...pulling weeds and watering also burns calories.
Feed the birds and watch who comes to dinner.
Go window shopping.
Come to the board.
Take up scrap booking.
Call a friend you haven't spoken to in a while - or a family member.
Do your nails or better yet, go have them done.
Go get a pedicure.
Hmmm, can't think of anymore.

.....and why is it I always think about the worst foods: Cheese cake, brownies, cookies, icecream, etc.......? I totally agree, it stinks!!!!!! Maybe there's some mental technique that we can use to compensate. I agree with Renee when she said that food was our friend from......you know where.
