I am wondering who is more likely go reach their goal weight? Someone who was once thin and healthy or one who has never known what it is like to be thin. And who would have the harder time maintaining their goal weight? Tell me what you think, and about yourself, I'm new here.

Welcome to the board!!! I'm also new and its helpful to get all these tips and stuff! I'd imagine that someone who was thin will have an easier time because:
1. They know the ideal weight their body can have and don't have unrealistic expectations.
2. They know what they had to do to be thin in the first place.
In general both will have the same time maintaining their weight. Although most people gain back the weight they lose, I think it is easier to maintain weight because the last five pounds are always the most stubborn and as long as you realize that you can not go back to old habits, moderate exercise and nutrition should keep your weight regular. I find that when I lose weight I have to pass on dessert all the time because my body is holding on to the last 10-15 pounds Im' trying to lose but after I lose the weight, I can eat more because my body burns a lot of calories through lifestyle and exercise. Hope that answered your question!!!
