I want to weight myselt on Saturday morning - one week from when I started my weight loss program. However, I might have 2 or 3 drinks Friday night. Will this cause dehydration and cause my water weight to go down? Should I wait to weigh myself? Thanks

I feel like tuesdays or wednesdays are good weigh in days. Everyone has occasionally oopsies and they usually happen on the weekend. This usually does not put on weight but can cause for a change on the scale (in water weight) and who needs that depression? Soo I would opt for Tues or Wednesday to be able to see you differences. Hope this helps.!!!

Since it's only been a week I suggest you don't weigh in at all. Keeping a vigilant watch on pounds lost/gained is not good for your mental attitude towards weight loss. I would suggest that you stick with the program for 1 month and see where you are then. So weigh yourself today and check back in 30 days to see where you are.
I waited almost 3 months before I stepped on a scale. I found that I was losing weight on target for lasting results about 4 pounds per month. I found losing the weight a lot easier without a scale. My next scheduled weigh in is when my waist gets down to
size 38. I am currently at size 42. I expect to reach that size in Sept or Oct.

Definitly avoid the scale on week ends, this is from someone who was addicted to weighing herself!!! Anyway since you mention having a few drinks and thought that it might show a lower weight, probably not but the opposite would be true, the high sugar content in the drinks will affect your metabolism and cause water retention, I aslo suggest that you drink lots of water thru out the evening or before going out and after......
