well it has been a little over 2 and a half weeks and i have lost about 6 pounds!! The problem is i don't think i am eating enough because i am constantly hungry!!!!!!! However i may be at my right weight but i am not happy with that I want to weigh 135. I am struggling very much so with this "lifechange". I am at the point where i am really getting frustrated. my mum says there is more than life than worrying about my weight...but to me i am so unhappy when i look in the mirror, i know i am not overweight but i would love to look in the mirror and say damn i am fine!! Society is part of the blame for me a twenty one year old looking to look like the models on t.v. Being a women can be hard!!!! any advice??

YOU CAN DO ANYTHING IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT:)

Well, to eat more food so you can feel fuller you need to eat more foods that are lower calorie foods, that way you can eat a larger amount of food while still keeping at the same daily calorie level.

Look at the calorie amounts of all the foods you are now eating and see what lower-calorie substitutes you can use for the higher-calorie stuff so you can free up some calories to be able to eat a larger volume of food so that you feel fuller.

I feel like I'm in the same boat as you are. I'm 22 years old. I weigh around 143 & have for years, since I had my first child at 19. I've tried many different ways to get down to 130, but I'm just stuck here. I hate to look in the mirror, I want to feel beautiful. I know I'm not & that's the depressing part. I just want to feel good about myself....

1. What is your typical daily food intake? How much and what kind of food are you eating? That is the first clue as to why you are hungry all the time; without this information, we can't advise you to better choices.

2. You say that society is to partly to blame for your present problems--it is to blame ONLY BECAUSE YOU LET IT. You are now a 21-year-old Woman...time to grow up girlfriend! Ditch this excuse and start thinking for yourself like the educated, intelliegent, adult woman that you are--you are no longer a teenager who buys into that "Teen Magazine" crap!

3. Your mum is right. If you are making a "lifestyle change" like you claim, the most important thing is to work on exercising and eating healthy--the weight is secondary and will take care of itself.

4. Yes, being a woman can be hard--being a human is hard. But take the time and look around and see how much better off you are than so many other women! Count your blessings that you have food to eat, a mum who cares, and are young, and healthy--so many other women around the world have so much less and would trade positions with you in a New-York-Second.

Yep, don't buy into society's fashion magazine toothpick thin, underweight, model mentality, they go to the unhealthy extreme of being too underweight, and those fashion models look phony and made up, instead of like natural real people. Just focus on getting within a normal healthy weight range and ignore those phony looking magazine ads.

i dont think there is a point where u can look in the mirror and be perfectly happy with yourself....you will always find a flaw and complain until its fixed...if your like the rest of us, your probably a perfectionist...but dont worry, the hunger is probably because your still not used to it...i dont know ur not saying just how many cals your getting in.
