this may not sound like a problem, but i don't know what to do next! i am very close to my goal weight, but i'm not near to what i WANT to look like! now i guess i need to lose more weight! ?? of course, the weight i did lose wasn't really in the "spots" i was working toward! so i guess the numbers don't matter!
i'm needing to tighten! that to me seems like a long road! i could see alittle bit of weight coming off, but to tone seems forever! but why weigh less but look all flabby and loose! yuck! id do go to one class a week at my church for toning, and it reall helps! i try to walk a couple times a week-that is all i really do. (besides house cleaning etc.)
what are the best things to do to to TIGHTEN ?? (i'm not a "big" person, and i didn't lose alot of weight or anything like that) but it's still gross! HELP!
thanks for ANY help given!! keep up the good work!!

The only thing I know that will tighten is weight training. All you need is a set of dumbells and a weight bench and start lifting. Get a book or look online for the correct excercises and form...good luck. Keep us posted.

I've lost 75 pounds, but, when I look in the mirror, I still see myself weighing 250. Everyday I put my clothes on, I expect the smaller sizes not to fit, but, they do.
Is it possible that maybe you THINK you don't look good, but you really do?

thank you Shari- that was a nice thought! maybe it's not as bad as i'm thinking! and way to go on your weight loss!! 75 pounds?! Wow! that is so great! you have got to be proud of yourself! i don't want anyone to think i worry about what may seem a small problem to them-but i'm not going to lose weight and still look flabby! i guess it's just something i need to keep working toward! i do feel better just losing the small amount i did! it wasn't easy! i don't think losing ANY weight is easy!! keep up the good work and the nice thoughts/comments !

Yep, I agree... weight training is definitely the way to go. The longer you do it, the more changes you'll see. You'll notice an improvement right away once you've committed to it. That's the best part about starting to train. I am excited for you because it will really boost your outlook on your body.
Go see a personal trainer for a session. Careful not to get caught up in a weekly session or something expensive that you don't need to do. Simple works too.

You don't really even need weights. Just use your body weight. Do push ups (with your knees down at first), dips with your hands on the edge of a chair, sit ups, squats, and lunges. This will get you going. Once you find you are doing a lot at once, then you can add weight if you want - but these things will firm you up!
