I posted this question a few days ago, but no one responded. So I thought I'd try again today. Has anyone tried out the new tread climbers yet? If you have, what's your opinion? Thinking about getting one, so I'd really appreciate any input.
Thanks!

I've seen them advertised on tv, but have not actually seen one in person.
MY OPINION IS THIS,......
they look like a very high maintanance piece of equipment. They also look like they'd be very difficult to learn how to use and to be comfortable using them .... My own experience on treamills, is I sometimes tend to drift side to side. If I did that on a "tread climber" I'd surely fall and break my ankle or neck. The other things is if you look closely at the commercial, one side is up then the other. I think if you just raised the angle of the standard treadmill you'd probably get close to the same experience. This machine looks to me, like a cross between a treadmill and an elyptical machine. I personally think the elyptical machine is a much BETTER, choice.
sorry i didn't respond sooner, I just wasnt' sure what to say, until you posted the question again, and it hit me....

Is that the machine that's a set of stairs that keeps rotating around and around so you're basically walking up stairs at whatever pace you want to set it at? If so, I know it's a really good workout. Tough workout. More so that a treadmill or elliptical, in my opinion. However, if I were to be buying a piece of equipment at that cost, I would personally want to invest in a good treadmill. Like Melody said, you could crank up the incline and get a similar workout. I just think that a treadmill would prove more interesting over time for your workout (between adjusting speed or incline).
However, the tread climber would definitely sculpt your legs with long term commitment. S'up to you!!
