Just got back from a 1 hr bike ride with my 10 year old...I brought my pedometer along and although it is probably not really acurate I figure it would give us a close enough idea...It said we did about 3.45KM...Some of it uphill...What I did to give myself a better work out is to use the lower gear which meant I had to peddle a lot to move forward and with the variation of the road my heart beat did go up quite often and we did feel like it was a decent work out.....
I realise I have to work my way back up to decent cardios and right now just staying on track is my goal for the week....
In case you remember my mentionning it...I`m still adding a penny for each minute that I work out but I started it last week instead because of the b-ball tournament ect...My husband as a way to motivate me has decided to match me penny for penny so last night when I informed him that he needed to put in another $1.50 he gave me a toonie and told me I owed him a 50 minute work out...Gotta Love him....Now I`m even and he owes me 10 cents LOL....

I hit the gym today and did a hard step class. MAN, amazing how much my face was red when I was done~~it was a great workout. I even used a higher step! A much harder work out than the Circuit Training, or Quick Fit class I do 3 times a week. So, bottom line, I feel great too. Amazing what the exercise does to your whole outlook.
I think the penny idea is GREAT!@ NOW, if I can just talk my husband into it!

I walked 30 minutes, fast, worked up a sweat. That's the first time I've walked in ages.
