Call it cabin fever, boredom or whatever, but I have been finding myself getting bored of my usual cardio.
I have a mini trampoline that I really like, only I get bored of doing it without something to drive me, like a tape and I'm really sick of the tape the tramp came with (I keep the sound muted and play music as the instructors' voice really irritates me). I also have a stationary bike that I like to use, but after ten minutes, my butt really hurts and pillows never stay on the seat. Can I complain any more??.
I am not working right now and money is a little tighter than I'd like so going to a gym right now is not really an option. It's also just on the brink of spring with tons and tons of snow melting, making anyone on a sidewalk a target with the massive puddles on the roads.
So, I was wondering, does anyone have any suggestions? My cardio endurance has decreased quite a bit since I stopped going to the gym in November before moving across the country, but I don't get winded very easily (my muscles tire out before my lungs do)
any suggestions?

hi, N! I know what you mean! I have the tramp and the bike, too! But I turn my music up and really get crazy. My husband just kindof laughs. When I'm biking I take my hands off of the handles every once in a while and punch the air. lol Also, I do a pattern of things on the tramp and maybe do both tramp and bike together in the mornings so neither of them gets super boring. like on the tramp I might "jog" 100 "steps" and then switch into another move and do that for 50 reps or something. If all else fails, I just forget about it being organized and just do whatever seems fun as long as it keeps my heart rate going. Also, I've incorporated aerobic breathing before my "cardio". Check out a book by Greer Childers. It's rather fascinating. Has really helped with cold, dreary, boring mornings. Hope this helps!

I actually bought myself a skipping rope a month ago and find it gives my heart quite a workout! I put on some good music and skip away (much to the amusement of my kids *l*).
