Uh this is kinda weird im not too upset about it, but ive totally laid of junk and stuff and i just eat normal meals, i exercise at least 5 times a week and i dont seem to be losing weight and i have been doing this for about a month now, should i have SEEN some results?
I dunno maybe i do have results i mena i feel more enrgetic i jsu think i should keep trying and the results will come

Maybe you have'nt lost any pounds yet, but I'll bet you've lost inches! Keep up the good work and the scale will come around soon! Good luck!

I'm in the same bloody boat, and I've been getting upset about it. I cut out all my junk food and second helpings (I'm just not able to count every single calorie...no time to write it all down then check, etc.) and have increased my activity level greatly with brisk uphill walks, exercise tapes, etc. and I have lost a mere 5 pounds in a month and a half. Now I do feel better and have more energy and I would swear my clothes are a little looser.....but I want to see a difference in the damn numbers on the scale.
It really sucks.

Losing weight is 80% diet and 20% exercise. You can be eating "right" and still be eating too many calories to lose weight, or as much weight as you want. Either try counting calories, or if you don't want to do that, just cut back what you are currently eating by 1/4 or 1/3. You should see results if you do that.

You're right. You've had a fantastic weight loss. The only frustrating thing is that when I ate whatever I pleased--and I mean whatever!--and did no exercise, I didn't gain, either. I'd been at 160 for a couple of years, so I was sure that when cut out all the garbage and started to move it would make a big difference. And it's only made a small difference. : (

Until I was 40, I also got away with eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it, and never exercising (and oh do I miss those days), all the while staying at a healthy weight. But then, middle age hit, and I also began taking a medication which increased my appetite, and I gained 70 pounds in 18 months following my old habits. When I started to lose weight, I just used the cutting back/portion control method and didn't count calories, and got fairly good results at first. When my progress slowed and I finally looked at calorie content, I found that although I was eating less bulk, I was still eating too many high-calorie foods to get the results I wanted. So I switched to more low calorie/high bulk foods like vegetables and lean meat, and cut out a lot of starches, saturated fats, etc. You don't have that much to lose, and I'm betting that you could do well using only portion control, along with educating yourself on how many calories are in different foods so you have a better idea where to cut back more. It does suck! I just can't believe the amount of effort I have to put in now to lose a measly few pounds. I'm only 34, that's not that old, but let me tell you something, in the last few years, things have changed. I used to be able to drop 5 lbs in a week if I cut my calories. Now, I'm lucky to lose 3-4 lbs a month, that's with exercise. It is so discouarging, but really the most important thing is consistency. AFter about 4 months of consitency, there should be a change. I guess you really have to keep in mind that it usually takes years for weight to creep up on you, so I guess you need to be patient with getting rid of it.
