I am in such a good mood today. I went to the gym to work out and weighed myself before I actually started the workout. It was one of those old scales that you have to push the bar to 50 or 100 or 150... and then the little bar to get in between that... I pushed the big bar to the 150 and then slid the little bar to the 20... (like it always winds up being) and the weight thing just dropped... I had to actually make it about 6 lbs lighter... I know that weight changed throughout the day... but it just made me feel really good to see my efforts were actually working... and it gave me a more positive outlook to workout... Just thought I'd share.
Freshman 15 didn't happen til summer break. Now I'm down to my weight when I was a freshman in high school. Junior High here I come.

The scales can be your best friend or they can be your enemy. It's a love-hate relationship. Yet I depend on the scale to keep me focused. If I'm up a couple of pounds from water weight, then I know I have to drink even MORE water that day to flush it out. People have suggested to only weigh myself once a week, but I could never do that. My weight rarely fluctuates more than 2 or 3 pounds (2 is more common) and when I go up that 2 pounds, I want to know about it so I can do what I need to do to get it back off.
Congrats on your numbers going down :)
