the movie was good but the popcorn wasn't

thank you all for the info yesterday. and as always i felt i had to"feed the need" and i'm glad i did. while i didn't drink any soda. i have to treat that like poison, i did have popcorn- about three handfulls. that was about all it took for the roof of my mouth to feel greasy. and the whole time all i could think about was how much fat i had eaten. i'm pretty sure the love affair with theater popcorn is over.i felt so bad i only had some plain chicken and a tortilla for dinner and did an extra lap around the park this morning. thank you all for trying to help.

Hey, look on the positive side, at least it helped you overcome your craving for that greasy high-fat version of popcorn, just knowing about the high-fat you are eating and that icky greasy taste that is now a turn-off since your taste has changed will help make it easier to avoid high-fat foods in the future, I know that just thinking about eating a greasy high-fat food that I used to enjoy is now a complete turn-off just because I now realize how much fat I used to eat without realizing it.

So cheer up, - just chalk it up to a learning experience that will help you do that much better from now on :-)

AND synchro....you didn't go crazy with the popcorn either...three handfuls is probably about 160 cals....nothing to freak about...and as Gary said, its great that you are turned off by the greasy feeling of those high fatty foods...thats a very good sign!!! And you tried to make up for it right away by exercising a little more! Sounds like you can handle giving in to temptation BUT controlling when you do....a lot of people can't do that...way to go!!!

And I hear that the Matrix was amazing as well....
