Hey y'all- I was super revved and now i've lost like 10 pounds- and they've stayed off even after all my "bad" days(you know where you eat like 3 donuts and binge on icecream and what not) but i can't find the steam i had you know? Like i read this leter i wrote to a friend about te day i got my membership and how i vowed to go to the gym every day- well- not so anymore! i mean i try to go at least 5 times a week- but man i'm not excited- in fact i feel kind of let down knowing how hard and long this will take. i had unrealistic dreams and now theyre shattered and i dont know what to do- what do you do after the 1st ten pounds? Help!

I think we all go through this. After losing the first 10lbs, I too lost my drive I had before. I remember two weeks ago I was working out twice a day for at least three days. Now I dread working out just one. I have been at least going bike riding around the lake and that is sometimes hard when my husband complains about going. I think you just have to write down your goals or think how better you would look and feel if you did lose weight. It took me way too long to lose the first 20 (six months) and I refuse to allow it to take that long for the last 20. I think it helps to write in the journal on fitday how I NEED to get with the program. I know this may cause a little controversy but I honestly believe that hypnosis is what drove me in the first place. The first few months of my weight loss journey was great. I had the drive. I've been meaning to start listening to these tapes again but between putting my son to sleep and getting ready for bed, it is hard. I hope this has given you a little insight and remember you are not alone in feeling this.
You can do it!!!

I ve lost ten pounds as of yesterday now, and its given me a little taste of success. I know how hard its to get to this point because it has taken me since January to get here. But by now I wouldnt want to give up cause I would be trying to loss this 10 pounds again and be back at square one. so even if your not in the mood to go any further just try to maintain thats what ive done when in a slump some where back in march for two weeks. For me to maintain i had eaten a lot but still hit the gym to balance it out. They also say that to loss 10 pounds it changes you to a size smaller, so there something to look foward to. You'll get over this, just keep at it!!

Thanks guys! God this is a shitty battle! sorry for my language but honestly! i have tons of support though so i'm lucky i suppose- where do you buy those hypnosis tapes? i believe that the subconcious definately needs a kicker- because i think it's my sub c that gets me every time you know? because i know i want to be thin and healthy and what not- but somewhere i lose sight of this and start feeling crappy and thinking working out is bull even though i really enjoy it and blah d blah- so where can you find those tapes? thanks guys that was nice to hear a replie!

I purchased my tapes from www.changenow.com. He also sells them on Ebay. The tapes I have are title lose weight (which I really believe helped me) and the athletic performance. If you decide to try them, let me know the outcome. Good luck!!

I just know that I'm always going up or down; it may as well be down. You can think of it as ending when you get to goal. In fact, that's when it becomes the most difficult. You have to think of it as a favor that you are doing for yourself. As sort of maturity that you get as you grow older. It's hard for me to stay motivated too, but sometimes when I see something really good that I think I just have to eat, I pretend (not really pretend, because this will be reality) that there is the food and a body just the size I want it, to choose from. If that were possible, which one would you pick? Keep up the good work and don't let it go down the drain.Claire wrote:

Sorry, I meant to say you can not think of it as being finished when you get to goal. That makes more sense with what I wrote after it.
