Hello again,
We are starting over to try and lose weight. A week ago we were planning our mom's funeral, she passed away from this place on Saturday Sep 6.
My diet of course was put on hold and now I am ready to start again.
I told you all last week that I joined weight watchers, but I haven't really done anything with it. Does anyone do their Flex Plus system? any advice?

I didn't know if anyone read this or not.
So not sure what my scale will be this wednesday, hoping it's good.

I'm really sorry about your Mom! I don't know how it feels but I know that you must feel a terrible loss. I can understand how it would be hard to stay focused on your weight loss goals. I hope you feel better about it soon. Not sure what to say about keeping on track. Maybe if you just think about how badly you want to lose the weight and feel better about yourself it will help some. Hugs!!
Smiles, Renee :)

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I'm pretty close to my Mom, and that would be such a huge loss for me. I know that you'll get through this okay,
but I'm sure it is difficult. I'll say a prayer for you and for her.
Eric

Hi Vicki;
I am also on the Weight Watchers system. I use the flexpoint system but I rarely use the flexpoints themselves. I'd love to help, I think its a great program. What kinds of questions do you have???

I would like my 9 year old son to do the program with me, he is excited but he cannot go to the meetings.
We have started to play outside, I have started to play outside with him and we are ready to start walking again. Fall is a beautiful time to walk in Iowa.
Thanks for the advice. Are there or is there a place for easy recipes for this system?

I think the best thing would be to buy the Weight Watchers recipe book. They offer lots of choices with the Points value included.
If you have your Week One book, there are some good recipe's there as well. Just look in the middle.
My one suggestion, which may or may not work, is popcorn. I am a salts person and I really like snacking, so when i get that urge to grab some chips or whatever, I pop a bag of LIGHT microwave popcorn. You can have 6 cups of it for only 2 points.
That is one of the main reasons I can stick to my points so well! Good luck and let me know how its working for you. I have been on it for 5 weeks and have lost 13.5 pounds!! So just stick to it...anytime you need some motivation or advice...just stop by here!!
