I will do this ...It is a matter of being focused, mind over matter and whinning about it... LOL
Since I have not yet pull the scale from under the bed then I know I am at a good sanity level this morning...I figured that there is no point hiding the thing cause it only acts as "the forbitten thing being more tempting"...
On my journey I have learn to make changes and this is one change I have to conquer....Anyone else battling a "weighing yourself too darn much addiction"? Like to hear what your major struggle on this journey is...G

G,
I do not own a scale at home, but I too, am guilty of weighing myself "too darn much". I use the scale in the ladies locker room at the YMCA. It is a doctor type scale and I trust it implissitly (sp lol) I do weigh myself every time I go to the Y, mon-fri. If I go to another location (we have 2 to choose from) I do not use the scale at that location because it is a "dial" scale and not the slide weights. I only weigh myself in the morning because I would get discouraged by seeing a higher number after eating breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner........
how long do you plan to go with out weighing? My official day is Friday, but I have to admitt that I look daily so I can see if I need to push harder in between, or cut out sodium or something if I'm retaining water.

I love to bake,so that's my struggle.I like to make yeast breads, pies, home made doughnuts, cookies, etc. I try to just not make anything, but I really like it so it's hard. I have tried to bake lower fat varieties of stuff, but they're just not as good (most of them) . I have been taking them to friends, family and the kids' teachers,so that helps some. :-)

Mine is definitely weighing too often so as of today I am off the "weigh every day wagon" for about a week now! Woo Hoo!!

Come on.... Look at my user name. Yes, it's because I'm a cake decorator, but I also LOVE cakes, pies, cookies, cheesecake, ice cream, bread, pastries, candy, CHOCOLATE! Also... Pasta, steak, potatoes, hamburgers, pepperoni pizza, Mexican, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Meditteranean, Indian, Cajun, chips, dip, crackers, cheese, Bar B Q brisket, sausage, McDonald's french fries, kid's sugary cereal, and on and on and on...
I have a love affair with food. I don't want to sound melodramatic, but it is truly a daily struggle for me. The three things in life I enjoy most are my family, sex (sorry, but it's true), and EATING. I'm getting better, but I really have had to analyze myself to determine why I had this obsession with food. Childhood and emotional issues of course were partly to blame, but mostly, I just love to eat. That won't ever change, but I have developed control over it, and I've learned I have to work for it. (I ran an extra mile last night to earn myself an ice cream sandwich!) And now when I do eat what I really want, I enjoy it that much more.
