The scale is reading 313 now. Just 4 months ago, I weighed 350 pounds. I can't wait until I see 299, 289, 279,etc........
I've lost 37 pounds so far. It seems like it is going so slowly but I am seeing progress every time I step on the scale now so I know I am doing something right. The amazing thing about this weight loss is when I pick up my 3 yr old son who weighs 35 pounds. I can lift him, but he seems SO HEAVY. I can't carry him for very long and wonder how I was carrying all the extra weight around for so long.
A trainer from the gym called me last night to check on my progress. She said she is so excited for me and knows that I can do it. She set me up on a routine back in September, and I've gradually added to it and upped the intensity since then. She asked me about what I am doing and what I am eating or not eating as the case may be. She said she was really impressed and that I was doing everything right. I am not counting calories and she said "that is good." I guess from her opinion counting calories is not something that most people would be willing to do EVERY day for the rest of their lives. I have made changes that I can live with, and committ to.
The only thing that is driving me bonkers right now is driving past Taco Bell everyday. I may just have to go get a grilled chicken soft taco to put an end to the craving. Sometimes if I am wanting Taco Bell i just squeeze a sauce packet onto my food and it is enough for me....mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Is there away you don't have to drive past it. Then you won't be tempted.

hang in there sounds like you are on the right track.
i can relate lifting my 3 year old and 2year old, it is hard carrying them around, they total about 68lbs together and thats about what I have left to loose. I can not wait to get rid of it forever!!!

Great Job Melody! I would say you should take someone with you to hold you to it and like you said just get that one taco just to kill the craving... One taco isnt going to kill your weightloss. The thing that often kills it is the binge it could lead to... So, kill the craving, but have a safety net there so that you can't do anything that will cause that downward spiral everybody fights!

Woo oo you go girl!!! Way to be i`m very impress keep up the good work...I`m lucky in a way that we have to go to the next city to get Taco Bell, I use to complain about it in the past but now I find it a blessing...I can do withouth most of the fast food out there but man oh man there something about Taco Bell!!! I like the idea that you have to put the sauce on your food once in a while, but like Kevin(I believe ) said one Taco may actually prevent a major binge later on and if you have the Taco after a work out it won`t be as bad to burn it off...G
