So what "diet" or rather lifestyle chenges have you made to help in weight loss? s there a program accredited for it (even though I understand it was all you guys hard work that made it happen) I am rededicating myself to healthy eatting and exercise and I would like to knwo what has hepled you? What exercise program could you just not live with out. I need a weight training routine which I know what I need to do it just going to consist of me writing and thinking it all through and actaully DOING it. So just curious to see what everbody else has done. Also does anybody remember me? I was on here a lot beofre the holidays and such but I said forget it with my healthy eatting so I said forget it to the board so I didn't have to seem "BAD" Well I'll let yallgo just wondering what yall think.

What helped for me:

1. Get comfortable with the fact that I will always be a "fattie" and that in order for me to keep that monster contained, I must, FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, eat healthy and exercise.

2. Accept the fact that I will NEVER, EVER, EVER go back to the way I ate and shunned exercise before. My life will be changed forever and I must live the lifestyle of a healthy person if I want to maintain the weight loss I worked so hard to achieve.

3. Drink lots O'water--then drink more.

4. Never leave my bedroom in the morning without first suiting up in my exercise gear and sneakers--then talk myself into exercising every morning.

5. Remove the weight at a slow, yet steady downward pace, of one pound a week (52 weeks a year)--this is a lifestyle change, not a race to the finish line. There is NO FINISH LINE when your goal is to make a healthy lifestyle change.

6. There are absolutely NO off-limits food items. Use substitution, moderation, and portion control when it comes to fattening/high calorie food.

7. Adjust to a healthy lifestyle at a comfortable pace and eat and exercise today as close to the way I intend to maintain it for the rest of my life. The weight won't just melt away quickly with this process--refer to #5 above.

8. Read and learn everything I can about healthy eating and exercise. Know how to spot the "scams, quacks, and fads" and steer clear--they DO NOT WORK!

9. Love myself and my body right now...REGARDLESS of the shape I'm in. If you hate yourself and your body--you are setting yourself up for failure.

10. Believe with all your heart that there is no food on earth that tastes as good as being fit and healthy feels. No double-cheese burger or stuffed crust pizza is as delicious as slipping into a pair of jeans a size smaller.

11. Key to success: Fall down 7 times, stand up 8.

I think we all have different approaches. I've metamorphed into a Body for Life convert. I know many consider it a "fad", but I don't buy into all the supplements, etc. Never have, never will. The BFL workout routine is the one thing I will never stop doing. It's working wonders for me. Forget 12 weeks, I plan to continue indefinitely. I still calorie count etc, but do eat the six times a day.
