I've read that it is better to eat five or six small meals a day in order to lose weight. What do you eat? Is it like snacking except with healthy foods? I have always eaten big meals and never paid attention to portion size before. I just want to know what foods I should eat and what size the "meals" should be.

If you have a daily menu plan, your could just take each meal and divide it in half. Then eat the second half at the next snack time. You still have only three meals to prepare each day. This will also give you practice at reducing your portion sizes - you'll train your body that a small amount of food is still a meal, and that you don't have to eat too much in case of going hungry later, because the next meal is only a short time away.
