if your down 2 dress sizes then somethings working...weight fluctuates considerably throughout the day...if u want accuracy do what the other have said and do it once a week, in the morning when u wake after u have had a wizz....doesnt matter if its carpet or tiles aslong as its it stays that way whenever u weigh urself

To test for accuracy, place a weight on it, and see if it reads the weight correctly.

Pick one scale on whatever surface gives the most consistent readings, never adjust any zero settings, and stick with that scale.

The only thing that really counts is if your weight is going up or down, if the absolute number is a few pounds off it does not really matter.

I use the same scale in the same spot wearing the same clothes at the same time on the same day of the week. Sounds a little redundant, I know, but, it works!

I agree use the same scale everytime. And a scale is more accurate on a flat surface if it is on carpet it is not level and will fluctuate even as you stand on it.

Thats a goof idea Derrick. When I bought mine the other month I remember stading on three different makes in the shop and they all read different weights. Luckily I use one at the gym which is accurate and I knew what my weight was so I was the weight used for the test. :)
