I'm so disappointed this morning. I ate some pretzels and pickles this weekend. Although they are not big in calories and have not fat, I guess the salt content got me! I am 3 pounds heavier than yesterday!
So, I guess for the next few days, I really need to cut back on my sodium and try to ONLY drink water. Will that help? This is my first "plateau" or set back since November! It makes me soooooooooo mad.
but i guess i should be happy that I've not had any big hurdles for a while.

How frustrating! Did you gain 3lbs. in one day or one week? If you've really been staying on track I don't see how you could have gained so much so it seems likely that it is water weight. Maybe you should write down everything you eat this week just to be sure you're not getting off track. I know it happens to me without my realizing it.

Slight setbacks are ok...what seperates slight setbacks from getting back on the weight gain roller coaster is what we do with them. Just don't eat....in response and you'll be back on track in a day or two. I beleive in you!!! Hang in there!

It is water weight, it would be impossible for your body to store 3 lbs of fat in 2 days unless you really really pig out which I doubt you did--not with a few pretzels...just drink lot's of water and it will clear out.

Drink plenty of water and your body will eliminate the salt it does not need, and as a result wont need to retain water (according to the american dietetic association). Sounds logical to me.
I know how you feel about needing to see progress on the scales, especially if you have been vigilant. I bet it adjusts itself soon.......unless your guilty of eating the whole two pound bag of those fat free pretzels. ;>)
