I popped into Goodwill today and they happened to have several pairs of jeans from Lane Bryant on the rack MY SIZE. They all looked brand new (minus the tags). Anyway this one pair I got was marked $9.99 and had some rinestones around the edge of the pocket, and metal stud things going down the leg seems. with the stone washed look. Very "in style" pants. I tried them on and they buttoned and zipped but are tight. I was amazed and impressed. I've lost 40 lbs so far so i deserved them. I know that they won't be comfortable till I lose another 10 pounds. So I am gonna hang them up in the closet and try them on again in another 10 LBS down. Yippee! This is my first "non stretch" jeans in 11 yrs!!!!!! I'll let you all know when they feel good on me!

Congratulations!
I look forward when I can go into the store looking for cute, sexy, hip clothes, instead of 'fat' clothes.

Me too! I can't wait to buy at "normal" stores either. And I want to tuck my shirt in without feeling like I have to hide some part of my body!

I recently went clothes shopping with my teenage daughter. UGH! The store we were in had a "fat clothes" section, and my daughter spotted an "in style" shirt, much like one that she has, only of course much much larger. She begged me to try it on. I have never been so disgusted in my LIFE! Can anyone say YUCK?! They would if they had seen me in that shirt! That is also incentive for me to lose weight. I remember when I lost 75 pounds before...the first time I went into a "hip" store with "regular size" clothes. What an awesome feeling to grab a pair of size 10 jeans (the non-stretch kind!) and have them slide over your hips effortlessly! I don't know if I will ever reach that size 10 mark again...but for now I would be happy with a size 16!! My other problem is that I have always bought my shirts in the "large" section. I have always been rather "top heavy", and even when I was thin, I bought my pants in the "regular" section and my shirts in the "fat dept". Maybe if I reach my long-term goal, I will reward myself with a reduction so I can buy "regular" shirts! :)

I should follow your example--I'm still wearing a lot of the same clothes I was wearing 65 pounds ago. People can barely tell I've lost weight. But I'm trying to hold out for just a few more months until I'm at goal--extra motivation. Then--MAJOR closet overhaul.

You go girl, and buy not spending a fortune you don`t have it in the back of your mind that you have to hold on to those clothes a s long as possible, this my way of thinking, I will wear them and work my way out of them to a smaller size and then donate them at a charity store because I do not want the options of bigger clothes in my closet......G
