Anyone prefere resistant bands to regular weights? I find I can do a lot more with them than if I owned some free weights. Just wondering what other people thought of them.

they wont allow you to lift more though...they may be ok for a while but if you cant change their resistance you will adapt to them too quickly

Ok. for now they're Ok, and I have about four different resistant levels, so I guess after the hardest ones become too easy I'll have to invest in some free weights. GymMachine wrote:

I was just reading the other day that women, especially, need 3 different kinds of exercise to help ward off osteoporosis. Aerobic, impact, and resistance.. so those bands might be very good for ongoing maintanance of bone mass...
