It's the exact same thing. It's just another term for Calorie, that's all.

A calorie is a measure of heat. One calorie is the quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius.
A kcal or kilo-calorie (1000 calories) is the quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of a kilo-gram of water by one degree celsius.
Here is were the "same thing" comes in from the other posts. A food calorie, the one we are used to talking about is the same as the scientific kilo-calorie or kcal.

heh ok cause my DDR workout is in Kcals and was just checking.
I tend to do 300 but I'm going for 350 a day this week
