ok.... yesterday afternoon i ate mostly fruits (watermellon mostly... if that a fruit???) and now this morning i woke up with heck-o-riffic diarreaha (although my mind is saying lots of mean nasty words.... im keepin it clean !)
anyways.... could this be related to all my watermellon i ate? between me and the 3 kids we finished off a 20# mellon or something unrelated.... i mean... i have been to the potty 6 times in 2 hours is how bad it is!!!
and if eating this much fruit vegis is gonna make me so ill.... how am i supposed to continuew to do it? although the thought of loosing several #'s through diareaha isnt a bad thought! LOL maybe i can get under 300!!!LOL

too much watermelon will cause diareah.. at least that is what i've heard.
it's not necessarily the fruits, just the watermelon

Yes any fruit that has high fiber and/or water content will cause diareah.Whenever my kiddos are constipated, this is the first thing I do,feed them watermelon. It usually gets them going.

I didn't know that. I love watermelon and when I eat it I eat a lot. So far it has never happened to me. I also eat lots of other fruits and vegetables too. Maybe my body is used to it. Thank God!

It's probably just the amount of watermelon that's the problem. Moderation is pretty important to good health. I have a favourite nutrition book and the author says that you can gain weight eating too much of anything. Logical.

That is what I was thinking..........even though it is a fruit and good for you, you still have to take into account how much of it you eat. There are calories in watermelon and they add up when you eat alot of it at one time. My suggestion is that you start measuring your portions and look in a book or on fitday.com and see how many calories you are actually eating. I would do this BEFORE you actually eat the meal. It seems to me that if you start counting your calories and stay within your daily intake for weight loss you should start dropping the weight pretty quickly. Do your walking tapes every day with no excuses and surely in probably less than a week maybe 2 you should start dropping some serious weight. I wish you the best! Smiles :)

Losing weight isn't about finding the right miracle superfood that you can eat in any quantity you want, which is really too bad. Moderation and balance is what you need to strive for when it comes to eating. I used to think I could get away with eating two of my favorite Taylor's Gold pears for breakfast but I learned (after two separate incidents) that my body would quickly reject that breakfast in the form of nasty diarreaha.
