Okay,
I found a place here that has body fat calipers and I'm making an appointment.
If I find out how much fat I'm sporting at least it will give me an idea of what my goal weight should be.
Here is my question:
When I was 16, I weighed 145 lbs (I was slim and athletic...not like super skiny)
Is it unreasonable to assume that 145 lbs MIGHT/COULD be my ideal weight? I'm trying to figure out if "filling out" as an adult muscle wise might make my ideal weight higher?
Any thoughts? GymMachine?? Help???

filling out wont make the charts tell you your ideal weight has changed from that age...but lets say you get to 145 pounds, and the charts say you should be 125 for example....but lets also say you are shaped like you lift weights without being bulky...are you gonna really care about a charts ideal for your height? hell no!...so in other words, if you get to 145 pounds and like what you see, then your ideal doesnt really matter....if your trying to justify that filling out muscle wise, or growing in a sense from when you were a teenager to adulthood would make your ideal weight higher, then no it wouldnt, simply because those ideal weight charts are based on adults anyway...atleast they arent supposed to be for young kids really i guess....so at 5 foot or however tall you are, charts will tell you you need to be slimmer....but dont get concerned if you dont get down to that because how does a chart compare with the way you feel?...i would rather be 145 pounds and feel healthy, confident and athletic, rather than diet my ass off to get to 125 and feel skinny and terrible....its a matter of comfort, dont get too rapped up in ideal weights because they dont take alot of things into account...the best judge is the mirror.
