 practical weightloss...i don't get it-help

hey everyone, i went onto the practical weightloss website, and i checked out the section 'find out your ideal weight for women', and i had to type in my height, weight and frame (5'4, 133, medium). then it just came out with a figure-120lbs. i don't get it-why is this my ideal weight? because the bmi covers a much wider range, when i did my bmi on another site it said my healthy bmi weight ranges from 112-142...i'm just wondering how the practical weightloss calculator came up with this figure. does anyone know?

i also checked out the number of calories i should be eating for my weight height and activity levels, and it came to 1800, so to lose 1lb a week i should eat 1300...but i'm eating about 900-1100. i think this is about right, because i aim to lose about 2lbs a week, 3 maximum.
it also makes sense with my plan of increasing my activity levels to 'moderate' once i've reached my goal weight, because it calculated that if i was doing vigorous exercise 3/4 times a week i could eat up to 2113 cals a day. so that's cool!

oh, and one more thing...can someone please tell me what a healthy bmi range is?! some sites say 20-25 is healthy and anything below this is underweight (that's the opinion of practicalweightloss.com) but others say that 18.5-25 is a healthy weight and underweight is under 18.5. can anyone clear this up? thanks! xxx

You're going to find sites that say what you've just stated EVERYWHERE.

I think it's more a matter of opinion. Do what you think is right for you and don't realy so much on what those numbers say. : )

Oh, and don't forget you have BODY FAT PERCENT to take into consideration too!

My ideal weight, according to this site, is 110. I currently weigh 133 and have approximately 21.5% body fat. According to my personal trainer at the gym, I should go no lower than a weight of 125. Hmm.....According to BMI, I'm "within the normal range", though at the very highest point of the range.

UGH! I agree - this is confusing!
