GymMachine, Ok so Gatorade or Powerade work quickly. I don't have that, but I have a recipe for a homemade electrolyte drink that I could use. Would this work? I make a specifically nutritional type of herbal tea, add 1 tsp of baking soda to 8 oz. of the tea, add a pinch of salt, and a T. of raw honey. is this kindof what you meant?

as long as its high glycemic anything is fine really....it sounds ok to me since honey is very high glycemic...i dont know the effects of the tea or baking soda on blood sugar levels but if its an electrolyte drink then i guess its cool...the honey is the crucial ingredient so yeah give it a go.
