Does anyone know how many cals are in a grilled pork chop?
I've looked and all i can find is Fried, broiled, baked and braised..... i'm not sure what braised is exactly but i looked it up and it doesn't mean Grilled
we dont' "braise" things in my house i don't guess unless we call it something else lol
Anyway i looked at baked and broiled and the average was around 200 for 3oz.....so for now that is what i'm guestimating...

I would think it would be similar to the broiled one. There is nothing added in the cooking process, you'd just gave to account for any sauces that you'd put on it!

Yesterday i cheated and had a few oreo cookies and some ice cream
i told myself not to but i ended up eating it.
today however i'm doign much better
so far i've had
honey nut cheerios with a banana cut in it and 2 strawberries cut in it... with skim milk.. 325cals
for lunch i'm having a sandwhich 263 cals... and some pretzels... 100 cals
and i've fixed my supper to take to wokr tonight
a grilled pork chop.... 1 cup corn.... 1 cup Green beans... 1c raw carrots and a few tommy toes
That's a total of 1000 cals for today and my limit is 2000 so i still can have a few snacks tonight
this is the hard day for me.... cuz i'm up all day mostly then i work all night tonight so i'll probably end up eating another meal about 4am cuz i have to work until 7am...

that is a plus for me... i hate BBQ sauce and most other sauces
the only dressing i like is Honey French....
so i guess i'm a plain person.
I DO like ketchup, Mustard and Mayo on certain things
but i've given up Mayo... too many cals wasted there...

I believe baked or broiled would be about the same as grilled. Just be careful you are looking at the correct cut. I noticed that when I did a search on DietPower, it came up with top, center, shoulder & they all had different calories between 150 - 225. There was also one for the loin which was 272 broiled (all of them for 3oz). I guess if it is a lean cut (or you cut off the fat) then it would be around 175. Hope this helps!

baked and grilled is almost the same technique i dont think either or would render the meat to have more or less than the 200 cals

you would be better off having those snacks inbetween your main meals...it supercharges your metabolism and helps you lose weight quicker...just a suggestion :)

it's just hard to define which are snacks and which are meals
on my first night back.... I have usually been up from 10 or 11am ...... all day long......then working that night..... so i'm up close to 24 hrs
sometimes i'm not sure whether i should allow more cals on that day or not.
I so far havn't and have managed to do ok........ but occasionally i do get very hungry and have to eat again way early in the morning (between 3 and 5am)
Then after my last night i end up sleeping til 1 or 2pm...... eating twice.....then i go back to bed that night around midnight or a little later.....
I wouldn't recommend third shift as a good diet aid........ but then i wouldn't want to wokr 1st in my field either...there are just too many suits....
