YOu know what, you can do alot of walking...that is one good exercise. At least it was not your legs. I do alot of walking and so far have loss 12 pounds. Hope you will be able to...sorry about your arm.

Hi Robbie,
I recently hurt my lower back pretty badly and was out of commission for about 2 1/2 weeks. I didn't work out at all during this time (for obvious reasons). My grandparents and aunt were visiting my family at that time and we pretty much ate like kings during their stay. I was really bad with watching what I ate and just pigged out. Surprisingly I only gained about 3 pounds. I just started getting back on track and hopefully will learn from this experience.
In terms of your situation. There is nothing you can do at the moment. Don't try to rush your recovery or you may just re-injure it. Just watch what you eat while you are healing. You can also do some walking/light running. All is not lost. Just don't push it too much. You want to make sure that you are 100% when you get back on track.
take care,
-trowa

Just get better. As others said though, at least you can do walking/running types of exercise. It could have been your leg or back like trowa, which makes almost all types of exercise out of the question...
