i just got home with jeff... (my 6 yo son) from the ER.... (we were there from 5 pm to 11pm) ... he has broken his radial head... that is the small end of the radius (a bone in the forearm)
at first the radiology dept said there was no break.... and that it was probably not broken... the er docs called back and told them that with their physical examanation that it was broken.... so they had a DOC in radiology look at it... and it was indeed broken.... so! this is yet another summer that he is spending in a cast (he spent summer b4 last in a leg cast from hip to toes)
the funny thing is.... he was trying to jump off the bed OVER his brother who was at the end of the bed.... and chris grabbed his feet... and he landed wrong... i cant tell you how many times he has done that jump in the past.... but jeff decided to play with him... and grabbed him....
so... that was my fun evening... and since he is in a cast from an inch or so above his elbow.... to his fingers.... its prolly not a good idea that we take him to a water park... eh? poor kid... first thing he did when he fell.... was say... oh man.. i guess this means i dont get to go to the waterpark!
my jeffey sure does know how to break things RIGHT!!!!
anyways... im off to bed.... not sure how much "exercise" ill get done tomorrow.... but i will get the floor mopped/swept and a whole lotta laundry done (can we say "daddy was home alone with the kids for several hours"?????) so.... ill let you know how jeffey is doing tomorrow!
hugs

Hey you know doing the things around the house burns a lot of calories per hour so you are exercising doing that as well!! So that should give you a plus side :) Maybe you could do some squats when you are dusting or gettting the clothes out of the dryer . Best of luck hun, sorry about your son. At least he sounds like he wasn't in too much pain??

thanks guys... jeff is feeling much better.... the drugs are doing nice things for him (he just has tylenol and motrin... but he has such a high pain tolerance that he is doing great!)
as for doing squats getting clothes out of the dryer! i HAD to laugh... i have a stackable washer/dryer.... i have to stand on a stool to reach the back of the dryer to clean the lint filter!!!!! i will do some toe lifts or something ;)
hugs
