i lost 90lbs by eating no red meat or pork.. with little excercise. while eating mostly carbs i did it... so whats up with those "low carb" diets.. i did the total opposite and it worked great!

There is a lot of hype about low carb/high protein diets, but research shows that all high-protein/low carb diets are not successful for long-term weight loss and can be dangerous. The initial rapid weight loss on such diets is mostly water and lean muscle tissue, but not fat. For detailed explanation on that, check out this article:

The healthy diet that works for the long-term weight loss is low calorie/ low fat (NOT low carb). By giving up red meat you gave up the large source of saturated fat, and that resulted in your weight loss. Congratulations!
