My Chatelaine magazie had a good article about substituting certain foods for others and saving some cals , here is a few of them...
instead of a daiquiri (162 cal per 4 oz ) chose red wine ( 90 cals per 4 oz )
savings = 72 calories!
instead of 2 creams cheese and smoked salmon pastry (129 cals ;8.1g fat)
chose 10 cooked shrimps (53 cals; 0.6 g fat)
savings= 76 cals ;7.5g fat
BONUS+low-fat shrimps offers V B6 and V B12 proven to raise the level of HDL (or "good") cholestorol
instead of Rum and Cola (222 cals) chose Rum and diet cola) 118 cals
savings = 104 cals
** My personal tip, follow each alcool drink with a bottle of water, you`ll save the craving for more drinks, stay sober longer and feel so much better the next day and you will also save all the cals from the drink of choice....
