It`s hard to stay focused when it seems other things in your life are falling apart....Still having a tough time we certain aspects of my life and hitting a major low with it this morning...Hard to decide to have a healthy lifestyle and eat proper and exercise at times like that...I will walk to work shortly even if it`s just for something to do and kill time while waiting for work to start....Sometimes it just gets to be too much to take in..
Thanks , I just needed to vent....G

Now is the most important time, with great periods of stress, to continue eating healthy and exercising.
Not only does eating healthy and exercising make you feel better, it makes you think clearer and make better decisions.
You can do it!

Oh it must be real tough... :/
I had a hard few weeks and haven't been exercising at all, but at least I kept with my eating so I guess it's not all that bad. If you can eat well AND exercise while you are having some bad times, that will prove to urself the strength of character that you possess. Good luck.

ST,
Sorry to hear you are going through a rough patch...hope it all works out in the end (it usually does).
As for your "lifestyle program" ask yourself these two questions:
1. What will overeating fatty, unhealthy foods and vegging out in front of the TV feeling sorry for myself contribute to my present situation?
2. On the otherhand, what will eating good, healthy food and getting some stress-busting daily exercise contribute to my present situation?
-----------------
ANSWERS:
1. Nothing. It will only make matters worse, your health will suffer, you will gain weight, and stress and depression will be magnified.
2. Everything. Your body will get the nutrition it needs to be able to think clearly and function properly. You will feel good about physical self, and, when the situation passes, you won't be behind in your lifestyle change and weight removal goals.
-----------------------
It is important that we stick with our lifestyle change goals (to the maximum extent possible) in good times and in bad, during holidays and vacations. By doing this we exercise our spirit and prove to ourselves that the new lifestyle we've chosen can stand up to any challenge.
---------------------

In all your adversities there lies the seeds of equivalent
advantages.
In every defeat there is a lesson showing you how to win the
next time.
View your problems as opportunities.
When it is dark enough you can see the stars"

Thank You for the kind words and inspiration....I did walk to and from work and while at recess played a game of tag with about 15 kids...The part about being the adult in charge while playing tag with the kids is that you tend to be "it" every second time so that was a great stress burner and it felt good that the game got started because of a little girl crying because some of the kids didn`t want to play with her...When the bell rang she came and said a big Thank You ...Soo if running around could make her feel better then definitly it has to be a better choice then sitting around mopping...It`s still won`t make the problems go away but at least no point making things even worse...My marriage is slowly falling apart and I even was asked if I wanted a divorce this morning...As sad as it seems, I am too stubborn to pack up and leave because I feel that I have invested some much time and energy into this house why should I put myself out on the street when he has more options....I know to think like that doesn`t help anything ...If only it was as simple as me letting go of certain things....
Thanks for lettig me vent, I will just have to take out my frustrations and unhapinness out during walks or during karate classes....G

I know it might be easy to say, but try not to keep dwelling on the negatives in your life or it will just make you feel worse, but stop and focus on some of the positives, as far as the negatives, if it is something out of your control and you can't do anything about it, then why bother thinking about it, but if it is something that you can do something to make better then look at it in a positive way that you will find a way to fix it.

I'm sorry things are rough right now. Usually when I get really depressed and stressed at school, I exercise and lift weights. It helps me work off steam. I really want to eat badly though when I am unhappy, but I only let myself do it in moderation and only after I've tried to satisfy the craving with eating something else or chewing gum.
I hope things work out in your marriage, and that you are happy.
