ok, i asked this earlier about my weight gain during that "time of the month" and now I have another question, I know its normal to crave lots of food, and which i am doin, but i am not eating anything bad for me, just eating a lot when i do eat. i am not counting my calories, i have found it to be easier for me when i don't do that, however, i know i am intaking a lot more calories than i should be right now. is there anyway to get rid of that monthly binge??? becuase now i am afraid that i will get off track and gain the weight back again. this seems to happen, thats why i yo yo diet all the time, but i hope not this time. any suggestions? thanks guys!

I also experience the same thing...I can't tell you how many times I grabbed a hand full (8-10) of M&M's in my pantry (for the kids...but I can't resist!) this past week (just got "it" tonight). Also, I had 2 slices of pizza this weekend & it tasted soooo good! I find I am much more hungry all the time! I found by eating high fiber cereal helps me, as I get full quickly. I also take some snack bars w\ me to work so I can munch on them before lunch or dinner. I like the Special K bars w\ strawberries the best! Funny thing tough...I eat worse & more during this time, but the scale never shows it. At least it's only for a week once a month!!!

My advice,
Just put it into your mind that for the rest of your life you will never be able to eat certain things in large amounts. Ever. Period. Do you want to be fat or do you want to be thin? That is the bottom line. If you want boneless honey barbecue wings from kfc then just know that you can only eat two of them. A chocolate bar you can only eat half or one piece and then throw the rest away or freeze it. Food portions should consit of 1 piece of meat and a tablespoon of anything else. We all have a weight problem on this site and the only way to deal with the problem is by taking control of it and not allowing food to keep controlling us. Good Luck!!!

Popcorn,
Look for the low cal brands. Act II or Healthy choice. You can eat a whole bag if you want to with the butter and for very few calories. Popcorn is tasty, satisfying and filling. So try replacing your chocolate and pizza with a few bags of that instead. Good Luck...

i've posted this before but your body actually needs an extra couple hundred calories during "that time." i'm not saying this is an excuse to indulge in everything in sight but you should take that into account, perhaps even adjusting your calorie requirements a little during that time and just try and find some good ways to get that extra food in. if you are aware of your body and what it needs during a specific time then you are more likely to not thoughtlessly grab junk food. at least that's my take.
