Well, I worked my a$$ off last week on the 35 buck eliptical, added sit-ups and ate well except for the eight brownie binge on Saturday...and my weight stayed the same...I was soooo mad I ate a tootsie roll. I always eat some reward garbage when I have to work too many hours (13 yesterday). You'd think working extra hours mowing lawns and trimming hedges would make up for these binges, but it never does. So I'm still trying to get to 255 by the 12th for Ken's gig.
Anyway...I have been hovering in the same 1.5 lb neighborhood for too long now. I haven't weighed yet today, but I was discouraged yesterday (my "official" weight day).
You know "official" weight day is the one where you make sure you go to the bathroom, and shave first (cause that's gonna add weight) and spit an extra time when you brush your teeth, and weigh before you shower in case any water sticks to you which might add weight. You put the scale in the same "lucky" square tile in the bathroom and hold your breath and get on the scale....
Without being graphic or X rated I'd love to hear what other obsessive compulsive routines folks do on "offical" weigh in days. Don't even try to tell me I'm the only one!

Don't worry...you know by reading the posts here that these things happen to all of us sooner or later. Next week you will probably drop more than usual. Hang in there friend...

Hang in there Eric!It is discouraging,we've all been there. Have you used a tape measure lately. I haven't been able to lose much weight but my clothes fit looser so I know I'm losing inches.... :)

My routine sounds alot like yours. Can't believe I'm admitting this online. Oh, well. Keep it up. We've all had discouraging days. The key is to keep trying, right?

This is my normal routine when I weigh myself:
First off, I don't eat anything before I weigh myself and I make sure I use the restroom first. I also have to be totally nude. I even take off all my jewelry and, if I'm wearing a pony tail, I take out the rubber band (hey, it has to weigh something!).
When I go to my dietician to be weighed, I wear the same outfit each time. She probably thinks I don't have any other clothes. I wear my hair down. I take my jewelry off (I leave it in the car so I'm not so obvious). I get most anxious in the switch from summer to winter as obviously I have to wear more clothes.
My question is this: Does wearing nailpolish add weight (haha)?

Cheer up! I think alot of us are having the same problem right now. Sigh........Keep on doing good with your eating and keep working out, it will pay off soon. If it doesn't I have an idea that will make you feel better.........just let me know if it isn't paying off..............smiles :P

*laughing hard here* That sounds so much like me! Aside from the shaving part *lol* I also have this thing where I hold onto the countertop in the bathroom as I sink down onto the scale *shaking my head* i'm not sure what I think that's doing for me, but hey! I need to be completely naked as well, otherwise it's not official!

I never thought of polish, but I do brush my hair first to get all the loose ones out :) I also step on very slowly...dont know what it does, but I always seem to weigh more if I just hop on.

You guys are great! You cheered me right back up, even though I gained another 1/2 lb. today. I so appreciate your honesty and humor!
