Hi Everyone,
I'm 42, weigh 220 pounds and I keep going up,up,up and I'm getting scared.. I need some help.. I run a daycare so I'm around food all the time. I don't get much exercise except for running back and forth doing things for the kids and it's mainly dealing with snacks.. What can I do to keep my mind off food and get more exercise in.. I just bought 4 Richard Simmons exercise videos but now I don't know when I'm going to have time to use them.
Plus has anyone ever tried those carb-blocker pills and do they work??
Thank you,
Pam

Hi Pam,
I am 30 years old and 210 lbs. I am a nurse and I have the same problem as you! I feel like I keep going up, up, up and I'm around food at work as well as the junk food that my son eats! My biggest problem is motivation. I joined the gym but can't seem to find the time to get there. I hear from a lot of people that the Atkins diet is the quickest way to go. I haven't tried any carb blockers.I feel like if I had some support, that maybe I'd have a better chance. I feel like if you have other people with the same problem and they support each other then maybe we can do it together! Let me know what you think! Karyn

Hi!
My name is Leigh and I am 32 and was in the same boat! My husband followed a high protein/ low carb diet two years ago and lost 30+ pounds and kept it off. I followed the same plan and gained weight!! Anyways, two months ago, I started going to Curves, and stopped eating anything white (flour, potatoes, sugar, and pasta) except fish and cauliflower. I eat about six times a day, drink three litres of water and go to Curves 3 times a week. I have lost 14lbs. and 6+ inches and am down to a snug size twelve, but twelve just the same. I also tried taking Exendriphine (??) but I am finally doing it on my own. I get the support and motivation I need at Curves, and it is only a half an hour ( I have a very busy life). I needed the support, and that's another reason I post here. It's good to know that I am not the only one, and it's good for you that you are talking and trying. Keep motivated!!

Hi Karyn,
yes I agree that support from other people would make it easier to lose weight.. If you would like to e-mail me my address is pamelajean37@yahoo.com I would like to hear from you.. maybe we can concure this problem together.. I have tried the Atkins diet and I couldn't stomach it.. It felt like I had a mouth full of grease all the time and I didn't lose any weight from it.. I'm hoping the exercise videos I bought will get me motivated to do more exercise..
I hope we can help each other together..
Pam

HI PAM,
I am in the same boat (huge cargo ship) as you! I was thinking of getting on the weight loss thing today. And.......... I stepped on my sister's scale, THAT WAS THE START OF A BAD DAY. The last time I weighed myself (over a year ago) I was 225, now I am 245. I was totally depressed, I am wearing the same stuff as I did before, and I have been busier at my job. I was hoping to be the same weight as before, but never dreamt I would be heavier!!! I have been moping around all day. You are not alone, we need to support each other!
