My work bought pizza for us today for all of the hard work we have been doing. I LOVE PIZZA!! I fear that I will not stay away from it and my co-workers are not helping me much. They keep saying 1 peice wont hurt.. BUT IT WILL!!! I weigh in tomorrow and pizza makes me retain so much water.
Thanks for letting me vent. I hope I can stay away from it.
Sigh :(

I never cease to be amazed at how people try to foist food on others who they know are on a diet. I too adore pizza, and I find it nearly impossible to stop with one piece if I give in. I note that our weight numbers are very similar. What helped me the last time I had a pizza craving (Sunday night, in fact) was thinking how close I was to reaching my goal, and reminding myself that every pizza I eat right now is a couple more days I have to wait to reach my goal. I've got the rest of my life to eat pizza, without guilt (and I intend to do so), so a couple more months without it won't kill me. This works for me, anyway.

Don't eat the pizza. Didn't you bring you luch anyway? If not, you should always plan ahead and pack you meals ahead of time...step away from the pizza!

I have also notice that our weight is very similar. I keep thinking that maybe, just maybe I could get to the 150 or maybe even the 149 mark this week and I would be sooooo happy with that!! I think that it the only thing that has kept me away from all of bad things this week.
So far so good. No pizza for me yet!

Hi. I just found this site and am looking for ideas, information, guidance for losing weight. I have been "thinking about it" for a long time, and almost daily deciding to try to eat better, but also daily eating worse - and more...
I would welcome any info. on what has worked for or helped others w/ this battle...
Thanks.

If you cant stay away, pick the toppings off and eat the crust and sauce. The toppings have most of the sodium/salt which affects water retention.
Good luck

I also love pizza. I now indulgde myself occasionally. I just eat pizza differently than I used to. I eat veggie pizza. Which helps with veggies cause i'm not too fond of them. Mushrooms, banana peppers, tomato, onions, olives, stuff like that. I get fat free cheese whenever possible, and thin crust. But, if it's not lke that, and it's loaded with other stuff, I'd stay away!

I love pizza too, I don't think I could give it up totally. I buy the little Boboli (sp?) crusts so each of us can make our own pizza. It's great because mine always has turkey peperoni, low fat cheese, & tons of veggies. That way you don't have to make the 1/2 & 1/2 kind for others with topping lingering over to the other side.

How about limiting yourself to one slice of it if you really want it. I have pizza every now and then .... I am not a big pizza person, but when I break down and have it (maybe once every other month), I have a small salad prior to the pizza, a slice to a slice and a half, and I blot it with a napkin to remove some of the extra grease.

Have 1 slice pizza and a big salad with low fat dressing. You will get your craving out. I know if I don't I end up eating a ton of healthy food that adds up in calories and then i end up eating what i was craving anyway. If you really really really want it have only 1slice then some healthy food.
goodluck
