Okay, so my goal weight is 125. That is perfectly reasonable for me. But, I have a few problems. Right now, I am 5'5 and weigh 147. But, I can't figure out where all the weight is! I mean, I can wear a size 4 skirt. My thighs are a tiny bit chunky and I have almost size D breasts (believe me it looks odd on my frame, but everywhere else looks reasonably normal. WHERE IS ALL THE WEIGHT?????

apparently in your breast. But everyone is shaped different. 147 on someone else might look like 180 but on you it looks like 120 or that is unless you are squeezing into size fours when you need a size 12. But again everyone is different.

I've heard that you can have some fat internally, like around your organs and stuff. I know that sounds gross and is most likley just for "obese" people.
size 4... lol... i can only dream of being that size.

I had an acquaintance once who was an aerobics instructor at the YMCA. She was only 5' 1" and weighed 145 but she was tiny!!! I think she wore size 4's or even 2's. She was all muscle and not an ounce of fat. But she did not have a chest like you described - obviously, there is a bit of weight on you in that area. Do you ever get neck and shoulder or upper back aches? That can be an indicator that you carry too much weight on your chest.

I weigh 171 pounds and can fit into a size 14, very close to a size 12 (can get them buttoned and zipped, but could never actually wear them in public yet). I'm 5'2.
Anyway, a few of my friends weigh less than me, but wear a higher size in jeans. The difference? I wear a 38E bra - they don't. I get mid and upper back pain constantly. I see a plastic surgeon in the next month for a breast reduction. Isn't it funny though when I was heavy I didn't have a problem with them, but now - THEY ARE KILLING ME!!

I have the same problem. I am tall. I am 5 8 I wear 167. I weara size ten jeans. I have wore a 38DD since middle school. I have allways lifted weights to keep my back and shoulders strong. Every one's body is different. I never lose weight in my chest even when I was at 125.

Years ago I took classes in imaging. You know .... what styles and colours you should wear. There is a female body type (sorta correlates with the ecto or meso morph notion) that puts weight on in an orderly layer, evenly everywhere. I don't get a big butt, I don't get heavy thighs. I get bigger all over at the same time. That's a lot of area to cover! As I lose weight, I just become a smaller, tighter me.
As for the bosoms, get a well fitted bra. Seriously! It makes a world of difference to how you look and fit into clothes and how your shoulders feel. We 'full figured gals' are fortunate these days, lots of companies make very good ones.

Shari,
I didn't realize you were 5'2". That explains why I at 180 can easily wear size 12's, and actually put on a size 10 this week. I am 5'10" so with 8 more inches, it is more spread out. An advantage to being tall, but I never will be able to weigh 125! When we reach our goals, I will still be 40lbs heavier than you, but be very thin looking.

I'm 5' 2" as well, and still in size 14's and some 12's at 164 pounds. I've always subscribed to the theory espoused in a Ziggy cartoon I saw as a college student. The caption read, "I'm not too fat. I'm just too short."
