Ya know, I voted two weeks early cause I'm so impatient.
And here it is... 4 hours after 7, and I'm so impatient that I'm already REALLY badly wanting to know who has won.
Grrr...
: ) Well, I guess I can wait a few days... but NOT weeks like the last election... no sir! I swear... I'm ready to go nuts (or eat some, I'm not sure yet)

Are you kidding??? I remember being 7 or 8 years old and asing my mom and dad questions about the candidates and which one they liked better and why...
I saw a tally this morning that had Bush at 254 electoral votes and Kerry at 252. Last night I saw one that had bush at 269 and Kerry at 207.
LOL, it makes it even more frustrating. : P But yeah, I definately am interested in who our president is, and who I think it should be, and also in my local elections.
Which brings to mind... we have so much illegal immigration in Arizona that one of our propostitions, if it passes, will require you SHOW ID to get ANY medical attention, because so many illegals are getting medical attention and not paying for it.
Well... I don't know about that one. Showing ID? What if I was mugged and stabbed and beaten and my purse was stolen? Would I have to show ID for my stab wounds to get treated?
*Sigh* Oh well, huh? I guess that's what voting is for, isn't it?

The Hippocratic oath which binds all Drs. states, in part: "I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism." I wonder how watching someone bleed to death or refusing to help deliver a baby in distress because of "no ID" fits?
I am constatntly amazed at what we attempt to legislate - but that is just my opinion.

I ate sooooo much halloween candy last night while watching the election. My husband was biting his nails and our neighbor who was over, was drinking. I guess we all have our ways of dealing with stress.
I hate the way the elections are handled! They'll claim a state when only 60 % of the precincts are in!?!?! Then, more votes will come in and they'll change their claim. It's so stupid and nerve racking to the people. Don't claim a state untill all the votes are in!!!! I know, I know there are percentages where theres no way it could swing the other way, but sometimes it could change, and I'm tired of them-the reporters- messing with peoples emotions like that. How can Bush have 269 electorial votes when I went to bed last night and now in the moring, he only has 249. Obviously, the dumbass reporters are making false claims. DON"T TELL US UNTIL YOU KNOW IT"S A FACT!!!!!!
Sorry, can you tell I'm a little irritated. Okay I'll stop yelling now. Sorry!!!! :)

LOL... I know the feeling. I was amazed at 269 last night too, so I looked into...
they quoted the 269 were his PROJECTED electoral votes, and not the actual. Pooh! Don't count the votes until you know what they are for pete's sake!
: ) Yup, it irritates me, too.
So, it looks like we have Mr. Shrub for our president again (lol, and don't get me wrong, I like him, I just LOVE calling him a shrub)
