I heard that drinking 4 glasses of green tea a day will make you lose weight very fast.

its an aid yeah...green tea isnot only full of antioxidents but it has some properties which actually 'block fat', so to speak from your food...im not sure on the science on how it works but it transports fat from calories that u ingest and dispose of them, not allowing them to store...im not to cluey on it i did read about it years ago, and i do drink green tea on my cheat days because of it....plus it has a little caffeine so it is a mild stimulant to boot....its worth a try for sure

While I agree that green tea is good for your body and soul, you cannot rely on it for weight loss. As we all know by now, a balanced diet and a good exercise routine are the key. If you want to add green tea to your diet to help with food cravings, go for it, but don't expect it to be a magic pill (so to speak).

I read that 2-4 cups of green tea per day contributes to about an extra 70 calories burned/day for the average weight/average activity (whatever that means) person. One of the major universities (Stanford?) did the study. I mainly drink it for its antioxidant properties and its purported effectivity for hair loss. I had a severe throat infection the other summer, complicated by antibiotic drug reaction, which resulted in my hair falling off more than the normal for well over a year (common reaction for bouts of severe illnesses). In such cases, there's nothing to be done but to wait for the "body's reaction" to wane, but it seems to have disappeared all together since drinking green tea.
