Hi,
I am in such a rut I had a baby 15months ago, during my pregancy I gained 80lbs!!
I still have yet to lose these 80lbs!
I start a plan then I lose my motivation! I really have to get on track, I am 27 5'4' and at least 75lbs over weight. I was doing good for 3months then fell off the wagon! I have a gym membership, I haven't been in a month! I need to lose this weight any words of encouragement or plans that might help? Today is my start day for my new plan, This time I pray I do it!

You are the only person I have ever heard of that comes close to my pregnancy weight gain! I gained 81 on my first pregnancy! I probably shouldn't say that to you on the chance that it will depress you, but I feel like you probably have already figured out how rare it is by your post. I just want to encourage you to reach out to others as much as possible. Get out of the house and interact with other people. I only say that because it is hard to lose weight when you are a new mom, the baby keeps you home a lot, and on top of all that you are ashamed of the weight gain. Whatever you do, don't hole up in your house, waiting for all the weight to come off before you go out again. I did that and grew increasingly more depressed and gained even more weight. Take the baby for walks as much as possible. Baby will enjoy it and you will too. If possible, walk with another adult. Older women are great to talk to for their wisdom during this time. If you need a stranger's ear to talk to, contact me. Hang in there! You can lose it and there is no time like the present! :-)

Thank you so much! I needed that I am so ashamed, I look like a totally different person, I weighed 130 before my baby. I am trying, even though I have slipped up a few times I am determined to lose this weight!! Thanks for the support

TRY not to feel ashamed. Try instead to think of it only as a little slip-up. You are a mommy now and people will be looking at your baby, so now is the perfect time to not feel self-conscious while all the focus is on baby! (My own parents barely noticed me when I first had a baby! ) I suddenly became the avenue to their grandchild!!!:-)
