Hysterical! My mom is always sending me every bogus virus warning under the sun, so now I've got one to send to her. By the way, I am also a big Survivor fan--death to Richard Hatch, victory to Rupert!

I also watch Survivor. Didn't Richard Hatch lose a lot of weight on the first Survivor; after which he had the loose skin removed?
He looks like he has put some of the weight back on. I've wondered if someone loses a lot of weight, has the skin removed, and then gains the weight back - what happens?? Does the skin stretch out again.
Just something I've always wondered about.

I don't think he had the skin removed. The only thing I've seen him remove is his clothing, unfortunatly :)
But Yeah, I've noticed the weight is back!

According to what I'd heard, and have confirmed via the oh-so-reliable-web, Hatch did indeed have plastic surgery, but obviously the skin has stretched back out. That only makes sense--skin is elastic. Here's an example of of interview with Hatch which confirms the surgery:
"Did you have plastic surgery to tighten up loose skin? Other than plastic surgery what can you recommend to tighten up loose skin after weight loss, such as a double chin or extra stomach skin?"
"I sure did. After losing a bit more than 100 pounds, I scheduled surgery (resection) for May 9, 2000 (we finished filming SURVIVOR at the end of April) to remove excess inelastic tissue from my midsection (large, floppy, love handles). I ended up losing an additional 30 plus pounds on the island, so the May 9th surgery was perfectly timed. Dr. Roettinger in Newport, RI, did the resection and I am beyond ecstatic with the results. Just about a week ago, Dr.Rosenberg of Sutton Place in New York City, did some fine tuning liposuction on areas (inner thighs and abdomen) that would not respond to exercise alone."

Just another object lesson--once you've lost it, try to keep it off. Plastic surgery can only do so much.

I have to admit, I was touched last night by the end of the show. And I really hate admitting when I've been touched. But if I was Jenna, I would never have signed on for the second show in the first place. But at least she got back in time.
Once again--death to Richard Hatch!! Where are the great whites when you need them?
