Hey...happy Monday!
Holy shmolley, this morning, my little 6-year-old daughter asked about our wedding day, and I told her that it was almost 15 years ago (next anniversary will be 15 years), and that daddy and I were younger then. She continued to ask about what happened that day, and so i asked if she would like to see our clothes! I showed her my husband's suit (which he hasn't worn in about 12 years, but would still fit, I'm sure), and then i dragged out my wedding dress from the mounds of plastic wrapping it! She begged me to put it on, and I laughed, and said "OK, but remember mama was thinner then!" On it went, and lo and behold, it FIT ME great round the hips and waist (it is a long slim dress which relies on gorgeous material, and an overlay of lace with self coloured embroidered flowers), and was just a little bit tight over my chest, but we could zip it up!! Then I showed her the fitted cream coloured suit (jacket and slim skirt) that I wore to go away on honeymoon in, and it fit great, except that the skirt was a tad tight round my waist! Seeing that things more or less fit, and hearing my daughter say "how beautiful you look mama" really made my day, since I am stuck at 136 lbs, and have not lost any weight this past 2 weeks. Sometimes, it takes fitting into something you'll never part with to make you realise that you really have lost weight, and I realised that i am only about an inch bigger in my waist, and an inch bigger in my chest than I was 15 years ago, and about the same in the hips. Since I'll be 47 years old in about 3 weeks time, and feeling a bit insecure about that, I needed an attagirl from my wedding dress!! What clothes do you have that you'll never part with, because of lovely memories, I wonder? Anyway, I hope everyone is pleased with their progress to date, and feeling happy, and healthy, and oh so cooool! Cheers, Dee

GOOD FOR YOU! I am sure you felt great!
I might have to get mine out...BUT, I actually weigh less now than when I met my husband :O)
My oldest daughter, Kayla (10) hugged me the other day and said mom, you are so skinny..ba ha ha, I am STILL over 200 lbs, but she called me skinny! It was the BEST!

thats a HUGE accomplishment!!!! I'm sure your daughter was right about you being beautiful, too :) Keep up the good work and do a little more cardio than you're already doing....speed walking is good for that and you'll get fresh air while you're at it...and you'll beat your plateau. Good luck :)

Me too, Amanda! I was in fact at my biggest around our wedding - happy weight, I used to call it...LOL.
And Dee, that is so great! Since my situation is reversed, maybe my goal is to never quite fit into my wedding dress again!...LOL
