 Good news/bad news

Well the good news is that my lab work came back pretty much good!
I have NO BLOOD SUGAR problems. The doctor was thinking that I may by insulin resistant or pre-diabetic. I AM NOT! My blood sugar counts (all the different hormones they look at, too) were NORMAL!! The one number that was way elevated was testosterone. I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome wich has symptoms including obesity, etc....

So, I am not trying to justify WHY I am 100 pounds overweight. Just starting to understand why I am having extra trouble removing the weight! I have more lab work coming back today or tomorrow. More in depth look at the levels that were off last week. Maybe if I can get leveleld out it will help me get losing again.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Normal blood sugar sound like very good news! Is high testosterone linked to polycystic ovarian syndrome? I hope that everything else comes back within normal ranges for you.

yes the high testosterone is related to PCOS. The odd thing about it is that I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago, and thought that I would be finished with the pcos symptoms because I also had my ovaries removed at that time. Well, it turns out that the polycystic ovaries is just ONE symptom of the syndrome. UGH! This all just means I will have to be even more DEDICATED & COMMITTED to working out and eating right, because the PCOS increases your risk factors for diabetes and coronary artory disease!!

OK>... now, I've had my wake up call.... I guess I better hang up the phone and get my butt in gear! Feels like I've been hit by Ken's 2x4. Round up the wagon, I'm ready to jump back on.
