I'm looking for new ideas
I get these huge bags of 99% fat free chicken breasts from costco. They only have 140 calories and really are filling. I eat them with boiled french grean beans that are only 30 calories per cup.
I've noticed that if I eat the same food everyday then i get bored with it and eat less. This works for me. I'm one of those people who would rather eat a lot of low cal food than a small portion of something like pizza.
My treats are lite farpps from starbucks. They only have 110 cals (for a tall coffee) and are super filling.
I make popsicles out of diet soda (I get the kind made with splenda) or I put frozen fruit in a blender, add some water or watermelon and then freeze to make a nice fruity treat.
I'm always looking for low cal ideas so if anyone wants to help.. that would be great!

Check the sodium content of that chicken. If I'm not mistaken it contains quite a bit. I also shop at Costco and I get the all natural chicken breast that are already vaclocked individually. They are a little more expensive but worth it.
Also at Costco I get the huge bags of frozen vegtables and steam them or sautee them in a little olive oil. Costco also has huge salmon fillets that I cut up into individual portion sizes and valock myself two to a bag.

Well, one of my absolute favorites that I've spoken of a few times on this board is to wrap lean meats and veggies up into wheat tortillas. I've recently started buying the whole wheat tortillas made by La Tortilla Factory (I have a post about these just down the board) and the big ones are only 80 calories and the small ones are only 50. By eating low-cal tortillas, I can fill them up with lots of other goodies. I add lettuce for crunch or sometimes I'll replace the lettuce with fresh spinach leaves.
I also like stuffing whole tomatoes with tuna or salmon salad. Or I bake fish in foil packets with a mixture of salsa and lowfat ranch dressing (a friend told me about that one) or I'll sometimes just coat the fish lightly with bread crumbs and bake it on a sheet. One of my favorite fish foods has always been fried catfish. But to save fat from frying it, I coat the catfish in cornmeal mixture and 'oven-fry' it instead.
Turkey burgers! I mix ground turkey up with spices and a little BBQ sauce and cook them on my indoor grill. Sometimes I use a bun, sometimes not, it depends on how many carbs I've had for the day. Or if you flatten them out a little more, they're also good on toasted whole wheat.
Another thing I like to do is make myself a stuffed green pepper. I buy fresh ground white meat turkey and freeze it in 1/2 cup portions. Then when I want a pepper, I thaw the turkey and mix it up with chopped veggies and seasonings (sometimes I'll even mix corn in with it) and stuff it down in the pepper and bake it.
Hope these help give you a few new ideas :)

I make myself pots of veggie soup with blackeyed peas or split peas or lentils, whatever I have on hand, and put it in a container in the fridge and eat it for the next few days for quick lunches.

Michelle, About how big do you cut your salmon for a single serving? And how many calories does your serving size contain?

One of my favorite things to do with chicken is to dice it after it is cooked and then add canned mushrooms and salsa! It is really good and low calorie!
Another snack/dessert idea that I just tried this week is fresh peaches sliced with fat free cool whip. I also froze some peach slices for later. If they weren't sweet enough, you could always sprinkle them with a little splenda and toss before topping them. It was really good and very low cal also!

I put a little tub of yogurt in the freezer the other day and ate it that night. Not bad. Took a lot longer than eating ice cream and tasted just as good to me.

Salmon is 140 calories for 3 oz. I don't weigh it anymore, but it's about half the width of my hand...so for you it would be different. Depending on how thick the fillet is, I may cut it smaller.

pickled egg -1=averages 80 cals
1 can tuna mixed with diced tomatoes, fresh herbs, a little lime juice and if you need to add fat 1 tblsp salad dressing.... Half of that is only around 90 cals if I remember correctly and if you want more of a lunch out of it, 2 slices of weight watchers or similar bread for 90 cals for 2 slices....
Grilled veggies of any kind! grilling or roasting brings out the natural sweetness....
Grill one of the chicken breast, slice very thin then use only half of it with a portion of sautee veggies for a quick stir fry and save the other half for another day....You can also mix the other half with that tomato combo as you would for tuna....
Take a zucchinin squash, using a peeler keep peeling the squash into strips then sautee in a non stick pan sprayed with a little no stick spray..Add some seasonning and a little tomato sauce and you have mock spaghetti....
Hope this helps...G

Here's a few ideas:
low-fat popcorn
Klondike low-fat ice cream sandwiches
Quaker's flavored (small) rice cakes (only 7 calories each)
Sugar-free whole grain bread (50 calories a slice)
Smart-Beat spread (20 calories a tbsp)
Smucker's sugar-free strawberry preserves (10 calories a tbsp)
(great on the sugar-free whole grain bread toasted)

I made meatloaf out of ground chicken last night. Glued it together with egg white and it was great.
I also tried low fat cottage cheese this week. It's good too. I've made a salad out of it and diet lime jello, yummy.

I love this stuff and just recenlty discovered it. I usually make tacos. I still want to try it as a "burger" and now meatloaf.

I went to a farmer's market and bought 10 lbs of the stuff. I love it. My friend makes meat balls. All she does is add garlic. They smell heavenly.
