what exactly is a fat calorie? I've noticed it on nutrition labels and it's also on my treadmill. Like today, I burned 406 calories on my treadmill and it said I burned 127 fat calories. What should I be counting and what's the difference?

a fat calories is 1 gram of fat = 9 calories...i dont know what your machine is on about since it doesnt make sense, but im having a dense day...you would have used 45 total fat GRAMS to equal the cals u used in exercise (406)..however fat isnt our primary source of fuel so you would have used other cals, especially from carbs...anyway heres the rundown:
1 gram of fat - 9 calories (doesnt matter what type of fat, wether it be saturated, monounsaturated etc etc)
1 gram of carbohydrates - 4 calories
1 gram of protein - 4 calories
~Short, sharp and intense = results~
