I was watching this show this week. I don't know why but I love it.
Well this weeks was they would only get the surgery if they lost weight first.
They only had 5 WEEKS! to do it in.
Some of them had to lose over 25 lbs. I think 3 of them met their goals.
Lord have mercy! They worked out of course, ate healthy, 6 times a day small meals etc etc.
I couldn't believe how much they lost in such a short time. Some of the foods probably aren't that much different then what some of you are eating. Some of it I had never heard of, Yam Meatballs (GAG)!!!
I was just kind of surprised they were encouaged to lose so much so fast and that they actually could. I thought this wasn't safe????
Should we all be out there buying yams now??
Anyone else see this???

"Extreme" is right. They were told to remove the weight pretty quickly, but keep in mind that the first 7-8 pounds was probably water anyway.
They were kept in a "weight loss environment" meaning they were away from job, kids, family, etc; were assigned full-time personal trainers; their meals were measured, prepared, and delivered to them; they had access to a full blown gym 24/7; and they probably had a medical team evaluating them all along the way. And to top it off, they were fighting for a chance to win tens-of-thousands of dollars worth of cosmetic surgery, lasik eye surgery, porcelin veneers, makeup, hair care, and clothing by the best Hollywood could offer--WHERE DO I SIGN UP!!!
I agree that they were really pushing the envelope on this one, but what reality series doesn't? Talk about stress--look at what the family members of that gold-digging daughter are going through on "My Big, Fat, Obnoxious Fiance"

The real test would be to see what has happened to them a year later. Did they keep the weight off? Lose more? Incorporate what they learned into a new, healthy lifestyle? Fab is right, they lost weight in a "bubble" without real life interfering...
