I am just wondering if anyone has any certain exercises that they feel they benefit from more. Like I mentioned before, I work out at the gym at least 3 to 4 times a week doing cardio. I wear a size 5 but I would like to go down a size or have them fit better around my waist. Any suggestions?

I don't know if this will help you at all, but why don't you give something different a go. You could try swimming (although, depending on your body confidence this could be difficult) it's a brilliant form of exercise as it's relaxing, non-impact, and it really does burn the calories.
I've also had great success with biking, walking, and yoga or pilates is great for creating beautiful muscle tone.
Maybe a change from your usual gym workouts could make the difference for you.
Best of luck

Hi Beth: First, let me say that by doing the cardio..you are right on target! Have you considered doing weight lifting? If so, then I recommend doing squats with a bar or with the Smith Machine. Be very careful with form on this exercise to prevent injury. Have a knowledgable person or fitness trainer make sure your form is just right. Once you've done that you'll find that doing squats gets your heart pumping just like cardio and it tones the lower body very nicely. For the midsection, do your crunches very...very slowly till you feel the burn and then keep going till you can't do anymore. The key is intensity..not number of reps. Feel free to email me if I can help you further...Darryl
